Recommended to decant for 30 minutes, this elegant wine comes from an estate with roots going back five centuries, located east of Saint-Emilion in Saint-Etienne de Lisse. Owned by the Petit family since 1954, it has expanded by merging with Chateau La Brande in Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux. Managed by Simone and Jean’s nephews Karl and Yann, the estate practices certified organic, sustainable viticulture without synthetic chemicals. The 34-hectare vineyard, positioned south-facing on limestone soils, enriches the wine with a distinct mineral character. Aged about 15 months in oak barrels, this wine boasts an intense ruby color with aromas of ripe red fruits and sweet spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, with soft tannins and balanced acidity, finishing long with subtle spice. Pairs beautifully with grilled red meats or lamb.

Chateau Meyney, near Montrose, is planted on an exceptional terroir with silica gravel atop blue clay, lending remarkable depth to the wine. Its 51 hectares consist of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 15% Petit Verdot — an unusual ratio for Saint-Estephe that adds freshness. Founded in 1662 by the Feuillant Fathers and owned by Credit Agricole Grands Crus since 2004, the estate is led by Anne Le Naour with advice from Denis Dubourdieu. Goruli Mtsvane, native to the Kartli region, is known for its fresh, mineral character. The wine is bright straw-yellow with green hues and offers fresh citrus, yellow apple, floral, and mineral aromas.
