Owned by the Cuvelier family and neighboring top Bordeaux estates like Pichon Baron, it benefits from the famed gravelly soils of the Garonne. Crafted under the guidance of Michel Rolland, the blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc is aged for nine months in third-use barrels. The wine is fruity and accessible, with elegant aromas of black currant and blackberry. On the palate, it shows good fruit concentration, freshness, and balanced, velvety tannins. Pairs wonderfully with red meat, lamb, and duck.

Located in Moulis-en-Medoc with a centuries-old tradition, Chateau Malmaison was revitalized in the 1970s by Edmond de Rothschild who replanted 24 hectares with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
