Red French Chateau de Cremat Bellet Rouge 2022 wine. No need to decant, but best to open it an hour before service.

Built in 1906 by Antoine Mari, Chateau de Cremat is located on the hills just above Nice. The estate extends over 12 hectares of vineyards in the lesser-known Bellet appellation and was taken over by the Derichebourg family in 2017.

Bellet Rouge is a blend of organically grown Folle Noir and Grenache grapes harvested manually from vineyards situated at 230 meters altitude with south/southeast exposure. The vines grow on poor stony, clay-silica-limestone soil called Poudingue, benefitting from sea breezes that promote plant health.

After fermentation and skin maceration, the wine ages for 12 months in 500-liter truncated cone-shaped oak vats and demi-muids. It exhibits a bright garnet color with purple reflections and a lively, intense aromatic profile.

The nose reveals notes of blackberry, morello cherry, and blackcurrant with subtle hints of violet. On the palate, it is expressive and floral, round and smooth, with medium body and refreshing acidity. Velvety tannins and a long, harmonious finish recall sweet spices and cocoa.

Pairs excellently with red onion Tarte Tatin, roast beets, or a juicy entrecôte.

Located near the Gironde estuary in the Pessac-Leognan AOC, Chateau de Fieuzal dates back to the 16th century. Originally founded by the Garderes family, ownership passed through the Fieuzal family until 1851. Since 2001, it has been owned by Brenda and Lochlann Quinn, with Stephen Carrier managing operations since 2007.

The vineyards cover more than 70 hectares with vines averaging 30 years old, planted on millenary gravel soils. The blend consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.

After manual grape selection and controlled fermentation, the wine is aged 12–18 months in oak barrels. It shows a deep red color and complex aromas of blackberry, black cherry, forest berries, spices, and mineral nuances.

On the palate, the wine is dense with balanced structure and silky tannins. The long finish highlights fruity notes.

The estate spans 53 hectares on clay, limestone, and sandy soils atop a plateau. Since 2012, it has converted to organic agriculture and is experimenting with biodynamics.

The Grand Vin is fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged 12 months in 30% new French oak barrels.

Red French Chateau de la Gardine Chateauneuf Du Pape 2021 wine

Red French Chateau de la Gardine Chateauneuf Du Pape 2021 wine

Red French Chateau de la Gardine Chateauneuf Du Pape 2021 wine is made by the Brunel family, winemakers since the 17th century. Gaston Brunel acquired the estate in 1945, and today two generations manage it.

The estate has 52 hectares of vineyards, mostly red varieties, plus 20 hectares of woodland supporting biodiversity and sustainability.

A unique feature is their distinctive bottle design, modeled after an ancient bottle Gaston discovered during cellar expansion, produced in Italy since 1964.

The classic Chateauneuf du Pape comes from vineyards with four soil types—pebbly “galets” for structure, limestone for minerality, clay, and sandy soils for elegance.

The wine is vinified and aged 9–14 months in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, creating a complex, multi-layered profile.
